Attempted a reset with a Peake tool, but the airbag light persists. I haven't used it, so can't offer advice from experience. Can the Peake tool re-set it to 'off'? My 2c. With the car off and sitting, the airbag, oil level indicator, battery light, will all come on and the lights will flash. the make and model of my vehicle is a 2001 BMW 525i E39. It will probably be 2 inches shorter, indicating that it went off and needs to be replaced. I'll change the oil and the filter as soon as I can and hope it's not the pump.
